DFW People’s Choice Award for Tacos: El Padrino

by Steven Doyle

By an obvious landslide victory, El Padrino garnered many votes for the craveDFW People’s Choice Award for tacos in DFW. Located in Oak Cliff this mainstay taqueria has dual locations. One is located on West Jefferson and the other on the nib of Bishop Arts on Davis.

Feeding locals and visitors alike, Cafeteria Y Loncheria El Padrino serves up not only some very exciting tacos, but also a full breakfast, tortas and my beloved gordita. The gordita at El Padrino are especially wonderful and could win a prize for this menu item alone.

Also in the win column randomly drawn reader and commenter, Marcus, who will be mailed a prize package that includes tickets and food coupons to this coming weekend’s Taste of Dallas that is also sponsored by BestBuzz.

Congratulations Cafeteria Y Loncheria El Padrino, you plaque will be on its way!

  1. Excellent choice. One of my favorite places for when I don’t need to refuel my car.

  2. Just received the twitter message, this is incredible. We are excited and honored to receive an award. Thanks to all our clients for showing that taco love, and Crave DFW for embracing peoples choice to vote for their favorite establishments. Come grab a few tacos!!! – El Padrino
