DEBC Premiers Wealth and Taste at Common Table

by Steven Doyle

Deep Ellum Brewing Company just released Wealth and Taste which is barrel-aged Belgian golden strong ale made with Muscat grape juice much in the style as Duvel, with grapefruit peel, rose hips and chamomile flowers and partially aged in Missouri White Oak barrels that spent the last seven to eight years housing Chardonnay in Napa.

The new brew was introduced to a maxed out crowd at The Common Table in Uptown Dallas earlier this week and we were there to sip and savor the powerful 9.5% ABV beer.

DEBC owner John Reardon was on hand just minutes after arriving back in Dallas from a Houston beer delivery and said that the new seasonal Wealth and Taste was nearly sold out and would start showing up at your favorite pub around Dallas soon but will be in very limited supply.

Look for another brew roll out this week at Katy Trail Ice House as DEBC introduces Dallas Blonde which will be a citrusy and balanced American Blonde Ale. Look for that premier tomorrow, August 3, 2012 at 5pm.

I made it out for this tasting, and the place was definitely packed. I’m happy with beer, and as with many good beers, sad that it is a limited release. Looking forward to DEBCs future creations.

  3. I have yet to make it out to DEBC and it’s been on my list forEVER. I do enjoy the Beer For Breakfast bit the do every Friday morning on KDGE. I wish I had Vydra’s job!! 🙂
