Last night Addison kicked off their Oktoberfest at 6pm to a large crowd of hungry and thirsty people. Mostly thirsty from many accounts.
You won’t want to miss the Yodeling Competition and Spelling Bee tonight, or the Bier Barrel events on Saturday. The Sunday Dachshund races are a highlight for many. Watching the stubby legged pups run for the gold is a sight to be seen.
Also a new favorite this year is the Kaffee Und Kuchen Haus which is a stone cottage that is transformed in to a traditional German Coffee and Sweets Shop. Find pastries such a strudel, black forest cupcakes and German chocolate cake that range from 2 to 4 tickets each. Lebkuchen are pretty delicious.
The party continues tonight and ends Sunday at 6pm.

Our staff will be out snapping photos and drinking beer, so we hope to see many of you there tonight.
I’m going on Sunday. Our family has made goin to Addison’s Oktoberfest a tradition over the last 5 years. Would absolutely love to win the grand prize!! Prost!
In the 11 years that I’ve been here in Dallas, I have never been to Octoberfest! Maybe it’s time to go this year!

Heading over to the fest in a couple of hours. For my wife and me, this is the best festival of the year. We never miss it.
Oktoberfest is my favorite Addison festival! Taking the entire family on Sunday and can’t wait! Prost!!!

Tomorrow is girls days at the oct fest. What could be better than drinking beer and riding the tilt a whirl. My single gal friends and I are looking towards lots of fun. Then back on Sunday with the kids to watch the weeny races and drink more beer. See y’all there
