Stateside Pie & Beer comes to Mesquite from Austin-based restaurateurs, Creed Ford IV and Creed Ford III, owner of Fired Up, Inc. The American tavern serves unique all-American style pizzas, pub-inspired fare, and more than 40 craft beers and creative cocktails at affordable prices.

Regionally inspired “State Pies” play a central role in the restaurant’s menu; the pizzas pay homage to the flavors of Texas with chipotle BBQ sauce, sharp cheese, marinated onions, jalapenos, and Texas BBQ brisket; Pennsylvania: spicy Stateside sauce, fresh mozzarella, roasted chicken, Italian sausage, peppers and onions; Iowa: ham bacon, bleu cheese and roasted sweet corn; California: spinach, parmesan sauce, pizza cheese blend, roasted chicken and fresh avocado; Idaho: three cheese onion sauce, sharp cheddar, bacon, green onions and crispy potatoes; and Louisiana: spicy Stateside sauce, sharp cheddar, blackened shrimp, Andouille sausage, celery, hot cherry peppers, served with a side of Louisiana hot sauce.

“We wanted to bring a cool, casual experience to this area of the Metroplex with a focus on craft cocktails and beer and a really inventive menu,” says concept creator and co-owner, Creed Ford IV.

Inspired by World War II veterans’ dreams of returning Stateside, missing the comforts and flavors of home, the space is draped with wallpapered images of the Greatest Generation. Craft cocktails round out the beer menu with inventive whimsy in both ingredients and name.

The Pig on the Porch is Stateside’s boozy salute to the almighty pig, with bacon-infused bourbon with ginger ale, sitting alongside such classics as the Sazerac, Old Fashioned and Mint Julep. Aside from a whiskey-fueled list, Stateside offers rum punches, ‘ritas and beer cocktails.

The quirky dessert menu is fit for the State Fair with new twists on old favorites like the Fried S’mores, Bacon-Wrapped Snickerpops and a St. Arnold’s Root Beer Float.
