Fairmont Springs Their Menu

We have written about chef Andre Natera at the Fairmont Hotel numerous times and this man deserves all the accolades that we could possibly bestow on one chef. He has this fun terrace garden that is sprawling around the pool area. Natera has a green house that is set up for more than just show. He also keeps bees that are maintained by the Texas Honeybee Guild.    Continue reading

Holiday Vignettes: Chef Andre Natera

I first met chef Andre Natera  just days after he started working at the Fairmont Hotel Dallas almost two years ago. I could tell immediately that he had a much different agenda than any chef I had met before. His philosophy in helping the local restaurant community is like no other. He explained that he wanted chefs to band together and share ideas and cross train rising chefs, something that he does in his kitchen every day.   Continue reading

Restaurant Week Secrets Revealed

Restaurant Week  is blasting through full swing in Dallas and for those poor souls that have yet to make a reservation you may be out of luck. Of course we are here to help you through this difficult problem.

As you may be aware, Restaurant Week benefit’s the North Texas Food Bank (Dallas) and the Lena Pope Home (Fort Worth). Last year this event raised over $600,000 for the charities. Over 100 restaurants participate in this one to three week long event offering a prix fixe dinner for $35 with an extra course available with a Central Market’s  token offered with a $25 purchase at their store.

We spoke to a few restaurants today to see if there were any  tricks in getting a reservation during what can be the busiest hospitality season of the year. What we found should make you smile.  Continue reading
