Laura Rathe Fine Art announces CHROMA – A Group Exhibition Featuring Matt Devine, Gian Garofalo, and Katherine Houston

Having long subscribed to Kandinsky’s belief that “Color is a power which directly influences the soul”, Laura Rathe Fine Art will round out this year in celebration of this notion with its newest exhibition, CHROMA, featuring works by artists Matt Devine, Gian Garofalo, and Katherine Houston. The opening reception will be hosted at LRFA Dallas on Saturday, November 19^th from 4:30-7:30pm, with an artist talk at 6:30pm, moderated by PATRON magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Terri Provencal.

Farewell Celebration at Continental Gin Building

The Continental Gin Building has existed for 130 years and has housed artist studios for over three decades. This November marks the final Open Studios at this registered Dallas Landmark for these celebrated artists. The Fall Open Studios will feature more than 40 artists on Friday, November 9th from 6PM-10PM and Saturday, November 10th from 2PM-8PM at 3309 Elm Street Dallas, TX 75226. The public is invited.

The Continental Gin Building has been home to some of Dallas’ most notable artists for the last 32 years. Twice a year, the artists host the Open Studios event, which is one of the most well attended in the region. For the Love of Kettle is one of the most highly anticipated events of our year. This One-Night-Only, annual fundraiser keeps Kettle Art Gallery operating in the black, allowing them 51 weeks a year of eclectic, North Texas based, cultural programming. Over one hundred and fifty, 9 x 12 works will be available for just $50.00 each, created by artists that exhibit & support this gallery. Cedar Open Studio Spring Show May 4

As the temperatures in Dallas become warmer, there are more events that are created to get people more involved with in the community. On Saturday, May 4th, The American Beauty Mill Lofts will host their annual Cedar Open Studio Spring Show. This will include 20 Dallas Artist with a wide arrange of talent and taste to meet the needs of any viewer. Along with the artist showing, this art show will include 6 different musical talents to create an ambiance that is festive and inviting. Although there are 20 different artist, we would like to shine the light on a few that have emerged on the Dallas scene this year and give you a sneak peak of what you should expect during this all day and night art show.
