Dallas Invades San Antonio’s Boardwalk on Bulverde

Saturday November 10th through Sunday November 11th Boardwalk on Bulverde will be hosting the 1st Annual “Dallas Invades San Antonio” charity event. 10% of proceeds coming from all vendors, as well as a personal donation made by Boardwalk on Bulverde will be donated to Conquer Chiari to help fund research for this devastating neurological disorder.

This family (and dog) friendly event begins at 11:00am Saturday, November the 10th and continues through 8:00pm on Sunday the 11th. Co-Host Good Karma Kitchen will be leading 6 of the top food trucks in DFW to San Antonio in honor of Michelle Malpica-Hertsgaard a die hard food truck lover who was diagnosed with Arnolds Chiari. Dallas Trucks include: Good Karma Kitchen, Drifting Bistro, SlushWorks, Nammi Truck and Easy Slider.  San Antonio trucks include 10 of Boardwalk on Bulverde’s best trucks: Rickshaw Stop, Society Bakery, Spice Runner, Taco King, Guilty Pleasures, Primo Passo Pizzeria, Sabor Colombiano, Totally Shredded, Toastie Buns, and KC’s Cones.   Continue reading

Bombay Street Food Truck Rolling in DFW Soon

The team behind the two restaurants called Bombay Chopsticks in the Dallas area, including one off MacArthur Blvd and the other on Coit Road, will be running his new food truck very soon. The cuisine, as the name suggests, is an Indian/ Chinese fusion.

“We are Indian Chinese Cuisine and we bring a different cuisine to the Food Truck concept here in Dallas. Our goal it to bring Bombay to the streets of Dallas.”  Continue reading

One Arts Plaza Competes With Food Trucks

Due to construction concerns the food trucks on Flora that were located between the Myerson and Winspear on Flora have moved just a city street away to the vacant lot at Flora and Leonard. The small distance offered the group of restaurants located at the east end of Flora in One Arts Plaza a boost of fresh energy and a group of takers for lunch on the Plaza.

Chef David McMillan reports that his pig cart located in front of his restaurant Screen Door has taken on more customers each day. McMillan offers a plate of smoked pork and trimmings for less than $8, making it a true bargain for quick lunch time diners in the area.               Continue reading
