Andrew Bell Joining Avner Samuel At Lombardi Family Concepts

After closing his last restaurant Nosh, Avner Samuel has been working with Lombardi Family Concepts. Most recently Samuel revamped the menu at Bistro 31 which is located in Highland Park Village. Samuel is making a move to Houston to open more of the Lombardi restaurants, including Toulouse. Also joining the Lombardi family is chef Andrew Bell who is currently at Bolsa in Oak Cliff.    Continue reading

Taverna Pizzeria and Rissoteria Re-Opens On Knox In Dallas

We discussed Taverna Pizeria and Rissoteria moving a mere few city streets away to Knox some time ago, but the actual transition from one restaurant to the other  took a record breaking 36 hours. The new digs for the Lombardi Family Concepts is now officially open on Knox, nestled gently to its sister restaurant, Toulouse.

“Taverna has become a Dallas favorite, and the new Knox Street location right off the Katy Trail will allow even more people to enjoy Taverna,” said Alberto Lombardi. “I look forward to seeing all the familiar and new faces at Taverna’s new home.”   Continue reading

Alberto Lombardi, president of Dallas-based Lombardi Family Concepts, has announced that he has finalized a new lease for his Taverna Pizzeria and Risotteria in Dallas.  This four-block relocation of the award-winning Taverna will place it next door to the ever-popular Toulouse, another Lombardi concept, and adjacent to the beautiful, busy Katy Trail.

The move will take place at the end of March 2013 and Mr. Lombardi will insure Taverna will always be open by conducting the move overnight.  Continue reading
