Claire was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on February 2 because her family had to move away and could not take her with them. Claire weighs a perfect 55 pounds and is ready to become your forever friend. She loves to play and is the perfect exercise buddy. Claire’s previous family said that she is leash trained and house trained, and that she also knows tricks like “sit,” “shake” and “lay down.” Though her family said she is good with children, they aren’t sure about Claire’s past with other animals. Bring the whole family, including other canine companions, in to meet Claire so everyone gets along before going home. Meet Joy, a cute 5-year old, 21 pound Terrier mix. She has a tan and dark brown coat with white around her face and paws. Her name is perfect for her because she is a joy to be with. Her best feature is her smile – she’s a happy dog, and you can see it in her wagging tail and great big smile. Joy is also good at walking on the leash, which is another thing that makes her so happy — you can see it in the way she prances while you are walking her. She loves to be outside, running and playing. Her previous owners surrendered her to SPCA of Texas on October 23 because their health declined and they weren’t able to take care of her any longer.
Joy would prefer a home with no children under the age of 7 because they make her a little nervous. Her previous owners trained her to live inside so she is house and crate trained, but after being in the shelter it may take her a couple of weeks to remember all of her housetraining in her new adoptive home. Joy has been spayed, tested for heartworms (she is negative), micro-chipped, dewormed and received her age-appropriate vaccinations. She is sure to fill your life with lots of happiness, laughter, and joy! What are you waiting for? Come and meet her today. #29376. Continue reading
