Aaron Robertson, a native Dallasite and Highland Park High School graduate will be at Molto Formaggio representing Round Pond Estate Winery which is located in the acclaimed Rutherford region of Napa Valley. The cheese shop will be offering samples of the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc and 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon from 3:00-5:00pm Friday June 10.
The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc has classic aromas of kiwi fruit, grapefruit, wet stone, honeycomb, and ripe apricots, followed by a zesty citrus splash on the palate. The bright, crisp acidity of this wine makes it an excellent summertime food and cheese wine.
The 2008 Round Pond Cabernet Sauvignon has complex and elegant aromas of dark cherries, fresh red fruit, brown sugar, cocoa and cloves. Blended with Petit Verdot, this wine has well-rounded tannins with a long finish.
