DJ Bryan C’s Naughty and Nice List

by Bryan Coonrod

There are a few openings and closings you might wish to be aware of, and here is the short list.  Many openings about to fly our way towards the end of summer and we will keep you posted.

M Street, the mecca for minors on Greenville Avenue,  has finally closed it’s doors. No word as of yet to what will be in there. Cretia’s on McKinney closed last Saturday and is slated to reopen as The Speakeasy this weekend. Kind of a quick name change if you ask me.

Privado  another upscale lounge is set to open officially next week in the old Joyce Lounge location at 723 Pearl Street.

Down in Deep Ellum  Commerce Street seems to be the focal point for new restaurants as Uncle Uber’s Sammich Shop and The Free Man Cajun Cafe , the latter opens August 6th. We reported on Free Man quite some time ago, but they are close to opening their doors. We will have plenty of information on Free Man as they get ever-so-close to a grand opening.

Also it has come to our attention that a couple popular nightspots for the younger crowd is under scrutiny with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for not non payment and are now on the state’s delinquent list… more info to come on that front.
