Luna de Noche Partners with NTFB

by Crave Staff

Beginning today until Oct. 14, Luna de Noche and the North Texas Food Bank will team up against hunger to commemorate National Food Bank Week, which is Oct. 9 – 15. To help raise awareness and products for NTFB, guests are asked for a donation of five or more cans, or other non-perishable items, at any of the six Luna de Noche locations in Dallas, Garland, Plano and Rockwall. In return, Luna de Noche will give a free order of its award-winning shredded beef or shredded chicken nachos.

“With six successful locations in different communities across Dallas, I know we can both create some awareness for National Food Bank Week, and for the North Texas Food Bank in their fight against hunger,” said Luna de Noche Director of Operations Henry Hashem. “Together, our guests and their mission can unite behind this one important cause and make a difference.”

The 13-year-old casual Tex-Mex cuisine restaurant has been celebrated for its margaritas, cilantro salsa and chicken tortilla soup, but Hashem hopes they can be known for their commitment to serve in their communities and partner with like-minded organizations throughout North Texas.

“At the North Texas Food Bank, we are committed to passionately pursuing a hunger-free community,” said Jan Pruitt, President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank. “We are proud to partner with Luna De Noche and not only fill the tables of thousands of North Texans, but also improve the lives of many more.”

Each Luna de Noche location will have a NTFB box in each entry. Guests are asked to simply drop their cans or other non-perishable items in the box and redeem their free appetizer.
