Taste of Greenville Avenue This Weekend

Check out the third annual Taste of Greenville Avenue on October 29 from 10am-8pm in Energy Square, 4925 Greenville Avenue @ University Boulevard. Produced by the Greenville Avenue Restaurant Association, TOGA showcases nearly 30 popular Greenville Avenue eateries presenting their best menu items in small portions costing between $3 and $6. Eight different beers will be available at the event Saturday.   

Participants include The Barley House, Black-eyed Pea, The Blue Fish, Café Izmir and Deli, Desperados Restaurant, Fish City Grill Henderson Avenue, Genghis Grill, Rusty Taco, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, The Grape, Greenville Avenue Pizza Company, i Fratelli, The Original Fried Pie Shop @ Baker’s Ribs, Ozona Grill & Bar, Parkit Market, Pho is for Lovers, Pinkberry, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Rohst Fresh Marinade Grill, Rusty Taco, Saint Martin’s Wine Bistro, San Francisco Rose, Shuck N Jive, Taco Cabana Catering, Texadelphia, Twisted Root Burger Company, Woodfire by Kirby’s, and more.

The 2011 event kicks off at 945am with a Presentation of the Colors by the US Army Honor Guard, the Woodrow Wilson HS Marching Band, and the FLAG ( Fly, Lower And Gather the American Flag!) Youth Advisory Council, led by Skyline HS senior Marcela Azuara.
