2011 Dallas NYE Suggestions

Holiday time is here when we think about ribbons and packages, good friends and wine. Well, more about wine than anything else.  Best make your plans for New Year’s Eve as soon as possible and we have a few suggestions. The list appears in the order we received the information. When making your plans you might also wish to check out proper transportation or lodging.

We started with dining options and ended with clubs and parties. If we missed your party or dinner, let us know and we will include you on the big list.            

Sevy’s Grill: On Saturday, December 31st we will offer a Three Course Menu from 5:00 – 7:00 pm for $49.95. Available from 5:00 – 11:00 pm is our special Four Course Dinner Menu for $69.95. Maine Lobster, Kobe Skewers, Tender Lamb Chops and Godiva Chocolate will be just some of the selections.

Marquee: Try one of the two options at Marquee for NYE, either a nine course dinner prepared by chef Tre Wilcox, or the party that will rock the house and feature an open bar and DJ. Make your reservations early.

The Fairmont Hotel Dallas: Join the Fairmont for a night of celebration that includes a cocktail reception, a lavish dinner prepared by chef Natera, a performance by local crooner Hunter Sullivan and a champagne toast at midnight. $250 per person with rooms starting at $209.

Campo: Enjoy a five course prix fixe menu for $75, or 4 four course for $60. Beer and wine pairing for $35.

St. Germain Hotel: two dinner seating’s, first starting at 6pm ($95) and the second ($160) starting at 8pm. Enjoy the stylings of The Rob Holbert Band. Champagne toast at midnight.

Salum: Regular hours of operation with a special three course dinner ($75). Last seating is 11pm and a special champagne toast at midnight.

Komali: Regular hours of operation with a special three course dinner ($65). Last seating is 11pm and a special champagne toast at midnight.

Abacus: Welcome 2012 with an elaborate feast at Abacus, as Chef Kent Rathbun’s culinary team create a special menu for New Year’s Eve. Guests will enjoy a variety of delicious small and large plates, soups, salads and desserts, as they sip Champagne and ring in another year. 5pm – 6:30pm: $80 per person. 11pm: $100 per person.

Jasper’s: Ring in the New Year at Jasper’s with a special dinner prepared by Chef Kent Rathbun and his culinary team. Guests will enjoy a four-course feast featuring the restaurant’s “gourmet backyard cuisine” as they count down to 2012. 5pm – 6:30pm: $55 per person. 7pm – 11pm: $75 per person.

Steel: Ring in 2012 at Steel, Dallas’ renowned sushi restaurant and lounge. Enjoy a festive four-course dinner, choosing from two New Year’s Eve seatings: early seating beings at 5:30 p.m. for $55 per person; with the second seating beginning at 7:00 p.m. for $85 per person, including a champagne toast.

Oak: Just opened and they are ready for a party with a New Year’s Eve Six Course Dinner Menu with Champagne Toast,  December 31, 2011, late seating is $85.

Cedars Social: Ring in the New Year with an exceptional meal developed by Chef Kyle McClelland at The Cedars Social. For $59, your meal will include three delicious courses and a glass of Moet Imperial Champagne. To extend the experience, a five-course menu is also being offered for $89 and will include a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc Champagne. Cocktail pairings available.

Mignon: Mignon is offering an exceptional three course menu. For $69.95 this delicious meal includes your choice of appetizer, main course and dessert from a specially prepared menu.

Hotel ZaZa: Rock in the New Year with ZaZa’s Black and Blue New Year’s Eve. Entry is only $50 at the door starting at 9pm. Room packages available starting at $459. Attire is Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Chic.

Private Social: Join chef Tiffany Derry with a chic evening featuring a decadent six-course dinner, wine pairings, specialty cocktails, and live music. Highlights from the prix fixe menu include warm lobster cake with coconut and lemongrass broth, duck and foie ravioli, and Chianti braised short ribs. In addition to Chef Derry’s locally sourced eats, specialty cocktails crafted by barman Rocco Milano will be on offer. Dinner is priced at $125 per person, with wine pairings or Rocco’s cocktail pairings at $175 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Chef DAT/ Mason Bar: Be the first to check out the Mason Bar with the exclusive NYE celebration. $125/person or $250/couple w/ complimentary bottle of Champagne. 7:30pm Arrival, 8:30pm dinner service, dancing and celebrating into 2012. RSVP please email: dat@chefdat.com

Five Sixty: Guests are invited to indulge in a five-course prix fixe dinner featuring a selection of chef Patton Robertson’s most delectable dishes. The celebratory evening will begin with a bang as diners enjoy dishes such as Wagyu Beef Tatake, Celeriac Soup, “Angry Style” Main Lobster and Seared Duck Breast and will finish with a champagne toast. The New Year’s Eve tasting menu is available at $175 a person, plus tax and gratuity. Optional wine pairings are available for an additional $50. Two seatings will be available

Bailey’s Prime Plus: Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Bailey’s Prime Plus! Enjoy the regular menu featuring new seasonal dishes or select a special five course pre-fixe menu created by Chef Grant Morgan for $80 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended.

Dish: Grab your friends and head over to DISH for a New Year’s Eve to remember. Make your reservations now for an extraordinary evening of food and fun! Enjoy chef specials in addition to our regular seasonal American menu. Seatings from 5 p.m. to midnight. Bottle service available. Premium open bar available upon request for $50 per person from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Dance the night away with special guest DJ Jose G. Count down the New Year with a champagne toast, party favors and balloon drop.

Nana: Nana will be offering three party options for guests that evening, as well as exclusive rates for guests who choose to dine at Nana this New Year’s Eve. Whether you’d like to enjoy a romantic five or eight course dinner or the bar buffet, and sip champagne and dance to live music, Nana’s New Year’s Eve celebration has something for everyone. While you’re at it, why not save yourself the trouble of driving home in NYE traffic and stay in one of the Hilton Anatole’s luxurious suites. Exclusive rates for Nana guests include a basic suite for $89, Executive suite for $109 or a luxury suite for $199. Seats are limited, reservations are highly recommended and room rates are based on availability.

Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen: We will have a fabulous menu for NYE. We are doing 5 courses from 5-6pm $55 and 6-10pm $75. Dishes including: Hamachi Sashimi with Blood orange granita, Niman Ranch rack of lamb with mint chimichuri, Smoked Niman Ranch pork chop with foie gras tart cherry cornbread stuffing, Strube Ranch 14oz Wagyu Strip Loin with sweet potato gratin and braised collard greens, Pan seared Hawaiian red snapper with crab dumplings and rich mushroom soy broth, and for dessert-blood orange chocolate torte with blood orange marmalade, trio of local cheeses, bubbles and berries with Meyer lemon sorbet.

Stephan Pyles Restaurant: Join us for one of two seatings at Stephan Pyles New Years Eve. 6 pm to 7 pm: 4-course dinner for $85 per person, $125 with paired wines 9 pm to 10 pm: 5-course dinner for $125 per person, $185 with paired wine.

All Good Cafe: AllGood Cafe is offering a Champagne Dinner Special on New Years Eve with 1/2 price Bottle of Champagne for any Two Dinner Entrees purchased. Delightful Piano Music by Chad Stockslager (of the King Bucks) will entertain Diners as they “grab-a-bite” before hitting the Show or Party of their choice.

Texas Theater: Hollywood Babylon 2012. A celebrity-themed Hollywood party with decadent dancing, live music and a swinging host to make Hefner blush. Guests are encouraged to dress in the style of their favorite celebrity living or dead!

Quarter Bar: $20 gets you party favors, bottomless glass of champagne @ midnight, breakfast after midnight. Karaoke @ 9pm at THE QUARTER BAR & GRILL-Addison.

Party on the Block: Five venues team up in the heart of gay Dallas including Oak Lawn: Station 4 (S4), The Mining Company (TMC), Rose Room, Sue Ellen’s, and JR’s Bar & Grill Dallas.

BDSP 5 the fig: Ring in the New Year with hot fashion and cool drinks at the fig. This semi-formal party includes an open bar. $80/ladies and $100/guys. Prices go up at the door, buy now.

Zouk: Celebrate with Maxim 2012. Many packages are already sold out, but check online for availability.

GhostBar Dallas: party with Madonna’s tour DJ, Enferno. $75.

The Gin Mill: enjoy this all inclusive and open bar party for $125. Get your groove on quick, tickets limited.

The Palladium Ballroom: Join the sexiest and most stylish partygoers this New Years Eve 2012 at Palladium Ballroom in Dallas and celebrate throughout 60,000 square-feet with two additional VIP areas and fully-staffed bars so there’s no waiting to order.

Big D NYE: FREE event at American Airlines Center with food tents, fireworks, and multiple stages for live music from bands Sleeperstar, Good Shive Low, the Good Question Band, and Prophets and Outlaws. Fireworks at midnight.

NYE at the Granada Theater: Spend NYE at the historic Granada Theater with Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights; Ishi and Kirby Brown, of course. VIPs will get a complimentary champagne toast and goodie bag, plus plush seats in the Granada’s balcony.

House of Blues: If fireworks and large crowds aren’t your thing, the House of Blues has you covered. Catch three bands in one night: the Polyphonic Spree, Centro-Matic and The Deathray Davies. Beware, the Victory Park festivities for Big D NYE is right around the corner, so plan accordingly.

ALOFT Hotel: Dance the night away with your friends as you welcome 2012 at ALOFT Hotel. DJs, go-go dancers and a champagne toast at midnight help make it a night to remember. Tickets start at $65.

Billy Bob’s: Ring in the new year at the World’s Largest Honkey Tonk in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards celebrates the new year with live music from Chris Young. Champagne and party favors included for $35 and $25 admission.
