Tesar Signs Lease For Spoon

After a few months of searching, Chef John Tesar is finally proud to announce that he will be opening his new signature restaurant “Spoon Bar & Kitchen,” located in the former La Tramontana space on Westchester Drive in Preston Center, scheduled to open in the Fall of 2012. The 68 seat restaurant will be complete with a 15 seat bar that features a built-in raw bar serving shellfish from waters all around the globe. In addition to a small plate bar menu, Chef Tesar will offer a full ala carte menu, as well as tasting menus and a private chef’s table, that seats 10, that can be booked nightly, with a menu of your choosing, or one especially designed for your party by Chef Tesar and his kitchen staff.

There will also be an eight seat counter around the open viewing kitchen for the ultimate interactive dining experience with special items nightly, tasting menus and experimental dishes for guests to try.  

Spoon will be open Tuesday through Sunday, both for lunch, happy hour and dinner, serving lunch daily from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. and a special brunch on Sunday. After lunch and brunch, the bar will remain open daily for raw bar and small plate menus. Spoon Bar will also feature a happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., and will serve the raw bar and bar menu until midnight Thursday through Saturday and 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday. The dining room with feature a contemporary lunch menu six days a week, along with the raw bar.

Tesar will offer two nightly tasting menus, one from the land and the other from the sea. The second option is a private chef’s table, located in the wine room, with direct views of the open kitchen, and last, but not least, the very exciting interactive chef’s counter and will offer cooking classes with wine and wine makers, and interactive luncheons on Saturdays.
