Tomorrow (Saturday, June 30, 2012) Eden’s Organic Garden Center in Balch Springs will be hosting their special farmer’s market and will have some extra activities that should attract anyone looking for excellent fresh-from-the-farm produce and meats.
In addition to the regular market Eden’s owner Marie Tedei has announced a salsa and pesto challenge. Bring your sauces out to the farm to be judged by chef Graham Dodds from Central 214, Nanci Taylor from Edible DFW and myself.
The day promises extra surprises including a special farm tour at 11am and a potluck picnic featuring special mini burgers from Bar M Ranch.
The market opens at 8am and you are invited to bring your family and friends for this special day at the working farm.
