A Cookie Collaboration

by Steven Doyle

From the woman who brought us some of the most delicious cookies imaginable, Pam Denesuk has always maintained that life is too short to eat an average cookie. We whole heartedly agree. The owner of Great One Cookie Company has managed to take her company to epic heights in the short one year it has been in business.

You may recall this was the cookie of choice at this year’s Academy Awards.

Now there is something new to rave about. Denesuk has come up with a new recipe and it includes real crack as an ingredient. Well, Crack In A Box, the stuff Katherine Clapner creates in her tiny Bishop Arts kitchen that is every bit as addictive as the drug it’s named after.

“Great One Cookies has always been committed to creativity when it comes to our cookie varieties but I think this time we may have really stumbled on to something. Great One Cookies has been collaborating with Dude Sweet Chocolate, another Dallas food artisan, to develop a cookie together. The result is our new flavor of the month for September – Cookie Crack,” said Denesuk.

Crack-in-a Box is chocolate bark with candied nuts and cocoa nibs and it is one of Dude, Sweet’s most popular items.

We had a preview tasting of this special edition cookie and endorse a few dozen. You may visit Great One Cookie Company at 3111 Montecello, or ring them up and Denesuk will most likely personally deliver your order to your door. Order soon as this cookie is only avialbe in September 2012.

For our readers outside of the Dallas area, do not despair. Great One ships. Visit them online here.
