Green Star Juicer Give-a-Way

For all our raw enthusiasts and health conscious readers, we are offering a free Green Star juicer. If you are unfamiliar with this device, check out this video. To win the juicer, tell us your favorite juice combination.

Here is Green Star info:

A favorite with raw food enthusiasts, the Green Star GS 2000 is the most popular twin-gear juicer on the market. The Green Star GS 2000 uses twin gears to crush produce, and expel the highest quality juice richer in taste, and deeper in color than all other juicers. The only juicer you will ever need, the GreenStar juices hard roots (carrots, ginger) to fibrous stalks (celery, rhubarb) to even the toughest leafy greens especially kale & wheatgrass.

No other juicer is better at unleashing every drop of nutrition from fresh produce, while retaining the enzymes and vitamins to boost your health.

The winner will be selected at random, and the prize includes free shipping.  retail value for this product is $549.00. We will announce the winner Monday, September 17, 2012.  Good luck!

A delicious twist to standard Kale juices:

    Kale Creamsicle (gluten-free, dairy-free )
    1 cup kale, chopped
1 whole orange, peeled and chopped
    ¼ cup water
1 scoop Frank Zane’s Egg White Protein Powder (or protein powder of your choice)
    1 cup ice cubes
In a Vitamix combine kale, orange, water and puree on high speed
Blend in protein powder, then ice cubes
    Serve in a pretty glass
    Serves 2

Oh man, I’ve been trying to save up for a green star for almos a year now. I’m engaged now and moving to another city, this would be great!
My favorite blend is called Unicorns Blood:
    1 Cucumber
    4 Carrots
    3 stalks of kale
1 thumb of ginger root (or bigger if I’m feeling a little sick)
    3 stalks of celery
    1 red beet
I like to stick to mostly greens in the mornings, I find I get the most energy from leafy greens. The carrots and beet together make it sweet. The color from the beet makes my drink look dark red, which is why I call it unicorns blood.

My 2nd favorite is my midday “snack” which is 1 orange, 1 apple, 2 carrots and half a jalapeno. It’s spicey, sweet and delicious.
