The official beers sold at the Addison Oktoberfest are the same beers sold at the Munich festival. So you may enjoy Spaten and Franziskaner under Schloss Addison, a 3,000 square-foot air-conditioned tent that resembles the beer halls of Munich. However, there is a broader choice should you visit the Sporthalle which features non-stop sports and entertainment on the big screen, traditional German food and beverages, and Biers of the World.
In Sporthalle you will find a broader list of brews including Estrella Damm, Sapporo Light, Fireman’s 4, Ommegong Hennepin, Bierra Moretti, Spaten Premium Lager, Pauwel Kwak, Spaten Oktoberfest, Cerveza Imperial, Spaten Dunkel and Quilmes.
The Weingarten features an array of German wines including Riesling and Liebfraumilch plus regional and specialty wines such as Eiswein (a rare desert wine made from the very last grapes of the harvest).
The Addison Oktoberfest begins Thursday, September 20, 2012.
We are offering another set of free passes to attend Oktoberfest in Addison. Merely make a comment below with your favorite Werner Klemperer moment.
Wow! The Addison Oktober Fest looks like great fun. I will have to steal away some time to check it out. LR Bergeron
It’s great to sample all the traditional Oktoberfest beers under one roof, but also good to see some local and domestic beer in the mix!
I will have to Klink to that at Oktoberfest in the Schloss and Sporthalle!
Can I still win passes even if I don’t know what a Werner Klemperer moment is?
of course, and as some figured it is the actor who portrayed Col Klink
Klink: I assure you, General, I have nothing to do with intelligence.
Burkhalter: Zat is obvious, Klink.
Colonel Klink: Those prisoners will be released over my dead body!
Hogan: It’s a deal
Klink and i would party in Heidelberg. Klink was an excellent wingman.
I’d love to try the biers of the world!
