Ehlert Chef de Cuisine At Hibiscus

Chef Michael Ehlert has landed back in a Dallas kitchen after staging briefly at Cedars Social. In the past month Ehlert has been offered more than a few positions in Dallas, but finally accepted the chef de cuisine gig at Hibiscus located on Henderson Avenue.    

Ehlert is a Culinary Institute of America  graduate, and first worked professionally at Brasserie in New York as poissonnier. Ehlert left Brasserie after nearly three years to open Daniel Boulud’s DBGB Kitchen & Bar.

Ehlert moved to Dallas in 2012 to open The Chesterfield, and worked at Campo Modern Country Bistro before it shuttered last month.
