This past weekend Henry Gentry took off for the National Ice Cream Championship in Greenville, South Carolina and took second place in both the vanilla and chocolate categories. You know Henry from his Plano ice creamery, Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream.
Henry’s is pretty amazing and you can also find it in other places without scurrying to Plano. Jimmy’s Food Store will generally carry the goods, as does Polka Dot Bakery in Addison. There are plenty of restaurants that serve custom flavors such as Parigi and Komali. Henry actually has over 400 accounts that resells his product.
It would be nice if we all stopped in this week for a scoop and congratulated Henry.
