FM Smoke House Opening Soon

The owners of the very popular gastropub Holy Grail in Plano are opening their first barbeque restaurant in Iriving and plan to call the restaurant FM Smoke House. The restaurant will be located at 660 Walnut Ridge Road; at the former Bennigan’s location on Highway114 and MacArthur Blvd.

FM Smoke House is a full service restaurant serving rural Texas comfort food. The menu is inspired by local eateries located along Texas’ rural farm-to-market highways that crisscross the state and lead to major cities. FM Smoke House will feature many smoked dishes such as bacon-injected brisket, beer can chicken, beef short ribs, beef tenderloin and house made hot dogs.

Other menu items include Texas favorites such as chicken fried steak, fried turkey breast, chili, and Frito pie. Special smoked meats and seafood will be available on a rotating basis in season. All food items at FM Smoke House will be prepared in house from scratch using quality ingredients with an emphasis on local ingredients when available.

Guests can choose to order smoked meats and side dishes either by the individual platter or served “family-style”, perfect for hosting large parties and groups. FM Smoke House will also offer take-out and catering options. A full bar will be available with an emphasis on American craft beers and house infused vodka drinks. Of the 37 draft lines, 20 will be dedicated to Texas brewed beers.

FM Smoke House is the second restaurant concept created by husband and wife team, Brian and Christi Rudolph, owners of the Holy Grail Pub in Plano, TX. The concept of FM originated from the popularity of their “Smoke Out” beer and barbecue events held at the Holy Grail Pub on select weekends during the summer months.

Look for an early March opening.

The Ranch at Las Colinas right across 114 has a very similar concept – locally sourced cuisine, hand-crafted cocktails, and craft beer… This location at the old Bennigans is very inaccessible for automobile traffic.. Wish them luck though . . This market is a whole new planet compared to the docile sterility of North Plano !!! . . .and dont forget that Red, Hot, and Blue is right across 114… as well as local-favorite “Hobbi’s BBQ” right around the corner on Walnut Hill and MacArthur !!!

LOL because I am agreement with you for this time.
I was having lunchtime at this fm smokehouse and will choose against my return.
Maybe in the Plano they are in that suburbs and no culture so they kudos the lower quality offerings of this barbacque.
For myself and the companion dining it was a lower quality offering here.
Birsket having no temperature and expensive pricings also to include a poor experience.
Barbacque in this Irving is better for Sony Bryan and Red Hot Blue.
And one cannot make the forget of Hard Eight in the Copel.
