For reasons we don’t fully understand, Dallas is packed with interesting wine and food events in the next three weeks. Things could be worse. We could all be on the ‘Pyongyang Diet’. Here is a summary of some of the most interesting press releases that came across my (virtual) desk:  

June 12th: Merriman Wine Dinner at Spoon Bar & Kitchen

June 13th: Ruth’s Chris Robert Mondavi Centenary Dinner

We previously wrote about Robert Mondavi’s 100th birthday. Ruth’s Chris has the biggest public celebration.

June 22nd: Hall Wine Dinner at Stephan Pyles, Sustenio. Fly to San Antonio from Love Field and stop at Stephan Pyles takeout place in the terminal on your way to his upscale restaurant in the Eilan Hotel Resort and Spa. The Hall’s hail from Dallas and make one of the bargains among top tier Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. A 90+ point wine for about $50.
