On Sunday, June 16th Christina O’Donoghue – Whiskey Cake server and cupcake extraordinaire – will compete on the Food Network’s latest episode of Cupcake Wars. With a passion for baking, O’Donoghue was inspired to start working at Velvet Bake Shop in Plano eight months ago and after spending countless hours testing new recipes, she decided to take her skills to the competitive level and participate in Cupcake Wars.
“We’re so excited for Christina! She is a talented and attentive server and we’re all rooting for her as she competes on the show” says John Franke, Executive Chef of Fork It Over Restaurants, “Here at Whiskey Cake we are fortunate to have a staff of individuals, like Christina, who are passionate about food and the restaurant world and who showcase a variety of talents within the industry.”
To celebrate her participation, O’Donoghue’s cupcakes will be featured June 11 – 16 as Whiskey Cake’s weekly “scratch dessert.” Catch the young baker Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 7pm on the Food Network.
