SPCA Pet of the Week: Meet Venice and Simon

Venice-114105-(1)

I hear you’re lookin’ for love, well, look no further.  Meet Venice, a gorgeous 1-year-old, 44 pound Pit Bull mix who is sure to make your heart melt.  She has a smooth red velvet coat, warm caramel eyes, and a delightful butterscotch nose.  When she’s not stopping hearts with her stunning looks, she’s having a blast running about the dog park, bouncing after squeaky toys, and playing tug-o-war or fetch. She is heartworm positive, but her treatments are FREE to her new family at a Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after she’s adopted.

Venice was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from the Humane Society of Central Texas on April 19 so that she can find her forever home.  She was already on their adoption floor but came up here so that more space could be made available for the dogs and cats affected by the explosion in West, Texas.  Venice is also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because she’s been waiting for her new, loving family for more than 30 days, and she has a special lower adoption price. Would Venice make the perfect addition to your family? Come and meet her today! #114105

Meet Simon, a handsome six-year-old, 9 pound, Domestic Medium Hair mix.  He has silky black a white coat with gorgeous gold eyes and cute long white whiskers. He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he is as sweet as can be. He enjoys a good chin scratch and will purr while making biscuits to show you how happy he is. He is also quite the little gentleman and will meow back at you when spoken to.

Simon likes snuggling in a comfy bed, being brushed, exploring, and batting around toy mice. He was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on March 30 because his previous owner had allergies. Though Simon enjoys people, he would prefer to be in a single-pet home, that way he can be your number one boy. He is also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because he’s been waiting for his new, loving family for more than 30 days, and he has a special lower adoption price. Simon has been neutered, FIV/FeLV tested (he’s negative), micro-chipped, received his age- appropriate vaccinations, and is litter box trained! Would Simon be the perfect addition to your family? Come and meet me today. #113271
