Long time Dallas restaurateur will be opening another concept late August or early September of 2013. Chef Genaro Silva plans to open Genaro’s at 6465 East Mockingbird, and it will be what he calls elevated Mexican cuisine. You know Silva from such restaurants as Genaro’s Tropical, Moctezuma’s, Garmo’s

Genaro Silva said, “I have always wanted to project Latin-based cuisine in a distinguished and cool environment and always present our cuisine in a top-notch, first-class way. It is my life’s passion ever since I started following the Galloping Gourmet when I was a teenager. I derive enjoyment from helping others have a good time. I want to create a Mexican food experience where the customer feels catered to and gets the benefit of a full-service approach”.

Expect to see “most requested” and traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes as well as new items such as the El Cortez-Saffron Linguini with clams, mussels, shrimp, squid and snapper in Tequila Cream Sauce; Pez Espada-Grilled Swordfish Kebabs; Queso Flameado; Relleno Del Mar-a mild poblano filled with shrimp, crab, snapper and cheese lightly breaded in an Ancho Chile-Avocado Cream Sauce; Spinach and Seafood Enchiladas; Beef Tenderloin Dressed with Red Wine, Mushroom and Black Bean Cream Sauce; and Coconut Ice Cream with Kahlua. There will be a specialty cocktail menu with bottled beers and wine and House Made Sangria and Margaritas. Average lunch prices will range from $10-$16 per person and average dinner prices will range from $14-$25.

Live music will be featured. The restaurant will feature continuous service and breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner service on the weekends.
