Black Box Wine Wants To Laugh With You (Video)

As part of its summer “Lose the Bottle” TV campaign, Black Box wines enlisted top comedic actors and filmmakers to create original short sketch videos that extend humor to online fans and consumers looking for reasons why they should convert to Black Box.  The campaign message encourages wine drinkers to lose their bottle in exchange for Black Box’s many quality and convenience benefits. The filmmaking team was given creative freedom to write, act and produce five highly original and witty takes on the line of uniquely packaged premium wines.

The actors are a professional team of performers and filmmakers who specialize in comedy and improvisation. They are recognizable from their résumé of work in well-known films, TV commercials and sitcoms, and through their memorable live performances at Los Angeles’ legendary Groundlings Theater. They include Lauren Burns (Two Broke Girls, Groundlings), Chris Eckert (Raising Hope, Groundlings), Laird Macintosh (Modern Family, Groundlings), Michael Naughton (Meet the Fockers, Groundlings), and Lisa Schurga (Leverage, Groundlings). The films were directed and produced by Damon Jones (Seinfeld, Groundlings alumnus).

“This talented comedic team took Black Box and our “Lose the Bottle” mantra and interpreted it with imaginative, fresh thinking, and most importantly, really made us laugh,” said Black Box wines Marketing Director Kim Moore.  “We want both devoted and new consumers to have fun with and own this “Lose the Bottle” movement and hope the sketches add an extra element of entertainment to their Black Box experience.”

The first of the YouTube video series was released yesterday with one new video that will be posted every Thursday thereafter throughout the duration of the online “Lose the Bottle” campaign.
