The Alligator Café is one of the best Cajun food restaurants in Dallas and the only place I know of to get good gator. Well now they’re coming to Deep Ellum. The original Alligator Café closed and moved to Casa Linda nearly two years ago.  Far away fans of the Café will be pleased to know that they will now have a choice of locations very soon. The new location is in the Rosemont’s old spot next to Rudolph’s meat market, one of the Café’s purveyors, at 2912 Elm.

The new restaurant will be a bit smaller; however it will be sporting a more modern look. Along with the smaller venue the new local will have a limited menu and will only serve beer and wine.

Also, the Deep Ellum location will feature counter service, a new deck, and of course live music every Friday and Saturday nights. Another new addition will be a raw bar for oysters and shrimp cocktail. The Alligator Café is planning on opening by the second week of September and is now hiring for the new location. To apply stop by the Casa Linda location, or look in on their website.
