Burger enthusiasts came to enjoy burgers and sliders this weekend during BurgerFest 2013 held at the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market and promoted by The Taco Trail, and Entrée: Dallas food blogs. Burgers were enjoyed from the likes of the Metroplex’s best burger joints this past Saturday.

Twisted Root presented an alternative to the traditional with a goat slider. Haystack perfectly executed a melt-in-your-mouth chicken fried steak burger. Stack House threw down their aptly dubbed “Classic Double Double” and Max’s Wine Dive delivered their Max’s Signature Blend.

Whiskey Café Kitchen and Bar also showcased the Banh Mi Burger, made with pulled pork, pickled veggies, a brisket patty and Asian BBQ. The Chop House cooked up a BBQ Meatball Slider (with Scamorza cheese, sweet pepper jam and potato strings) and a Bacon Glazed Short rib Slider (bacon glazed short ribs, cheddar, horseradish mustard, arugula, and sliced tomatoes).

Asador served the “Shut the Front Door Burger,” which included Hudspeth Farm’s grass-fed beef, smoked tomato, pancetta chutney, braised wild mushrooms, and Mozzarella Co. goat cheese.

Topo Chico provided free mineral water for thirsty burger-goers. Social Ice unveiled their Sangria Grape and Mimosa Orange popsicles made with Texas wine and chunks of real fruit.
BurgerFest was a wonderful way to welcome Autumn to Dallas.
