José Andrés is a very famous chef. As well as being fêted by the James Beard Foundation as Outstanding Chef in 2011, and having restaurants in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Las Vegas and Miami he is also a TV presenter with Made In Spain on PBS and Dean of the Spanish Studies Program at the International Culinary Center and he teaches Science and Cooking at Harvard. That, plus books and philanthropic and advocacy work add up to a full life. His latest award was last month when he became the first chef in history to receive the Hispanic Heritage Award from the Hispanic Heritage Foundation
Now his food has become a lot more accessible to Dallasites, so to speak, with his creation of his own line of food products. They are are available online at his website and will be coming to retailers as contracts are signed.
As you might expect, the foods chosen reflect the cooks Spanish heritage and come from small Spanish producers. Per the press release they include:
