Fogo de Chão, the Addison-based U.S. subsidiary of a Brazilian restaurant chain is sending three readers to Brazil to report on their trips. Here is how that works:
- 1 Choose your expedition
From 4 potential destinations.
- Tell us why you should go
In your own words. Create a profile page that shows our judges that you’re perfect for the journey. You can add photos or a video if you’d like. Don’t forget to submit by February 16th!
- Tell your friends
Likes are part of the judging criteria so share your submission to increase your chance of becoming selected as one of our 3 finalists.
- Get ready to share your adventure
From our 3 Finalists, we’ll have a final vote for the winner – who will document and share their expedition with videos, photos and more!

To get you some practice, write a paragraph or two in the comments below on what you would do in Brazil and Crave will give the best entry two tickets for a free dinner at Fogo de Chão.
I would most likely do many of the things listed here…the Gringo With A Green Bag’s Top 10 Brazil! http://gringowithagreenbag.com/2013/02/14/brazil-my-top-10-favorites/
I would have a food tour of Brazil! I’m not really into museums or architecture, but throw in food – and I’m there! I found a list of “24 Traditional Brazilian Foods You Need To Eat Right Now” and I know I would have a delicious time working my way down that list. Of course, I haven’t heard of most of them, but the pictures and descriptions are intriguing – so count me in! Food is such a personal experience that it can change your mood and your opinion of an area – so I love to eat at local places when I’m traveling. It’s also a fun way to learn about the culture and history of an area – restaurant owners love to tell you about the origins of their foods and will offer suggestions and even off-menu things to try. Sure, you have to be willing to eat anything, which can be terrifying, but I figure that it hasn’t killed them, so it must be OK to eat!
