Dee Lincoln announces the second location of Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar, slated to open mid-April in Plano, Texas.  Located at 4701 West Park Boulevard, Lincoln has appointed chef Andrew Powers as executive chef.  The menu is an approachable one with updated steakhouse fare and inventive burger recipes in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

Powers has been with Lincoln since she opened the first location in Uptown Dallas, September 2013.  Lincoln says, “Chef Powers has that rustic sensibility while at the same time refined cooking that is perfect for this restaurant. He also understands the importance of providing only the best product possible and goes out of his way working with the farmers and purveyors on sourcing.”  Lincoln continues, “Plano has been my home since moving to Texas.  Our daughter has grown up in the neighborhood and several of my loyal fans live in the area. I’m excited to bring this neighborhood restaurant to our community.  The focus is great food, excellent service in a warm and comfortable atmosphere.”

The dining room will have a sleek rustic design appeal with dark and natural woods and black siding combination and burnt orange accents, 80 seats in the main dining room, an open kitchen with chefs counter that seats 4 (where a tasting menu will be available), community table in the bar area that seats up to 20, and a private dining wine cellar that seats up to 12 people.  Patio and outdoor lounge seating will accommodate another 30 guests.  A few more creative burgers will be added to the menu as well as adult milkshakes and barrel selection keg wine to the bar menu.   Other than that, the core menu will remain the same and continue to offer daily and nightly blackboard features as well.

Lincoln continues, “I have returned to my roots with the steak & burger bar, and very excited to build a concept that truly has a soul.  I also like that this restaurant appeals to the younger generation as well as the older.”  Lincoln appreciates the importance of keeping her fans happy through multiple decades, while at the same time appealing to a younger generation of diners.  She recognizes the value of evolving in this industry and accepts the challenge of delivering on the expectation of the ever-changing and educated diner in today’s world, while also staying true to the core of her brand.
