Super Chix To Directly Compete With Chick Fil A, Opens In Arlington Weds

super chix3by Steven Doyle

We received word about Super Chix this week, and as excited as we were to learn about a new, hot super hero group that would be roaming the skies, alas, it was a new fast food chicken restaurant. And to top it all off, it is from Yum! Brands, the owner of KFC. This didn’t exactly excite us as we had hoped. However, there is a golden lining in the new restaurant that will make its world premier in Arlington, Texas. It has the appearance of a direct dueling swath the the crazies over at Chick Fil A. This means you can once again enjoy that very similar style chicken sandwich without a side of hate, and it will be open on Sunday.

Your gay friends should rejoice.

In addition to the whole competition thing, it appears that the sandwich will be made more wholesome than its competitors by not using MSG, high-fructose corn syrup and phosphates. And to make matters even better, you can get more than just a single pickle slice added to your sandwich. Sandwich toppings include pickles, onions and jalapeno peppers, and sauce options include some sort of signature, sauce, honey mustard, smokey honey pepper, and Sriracha sweet and sour. Sounds delightfully updated.

Look for the new Super Chix to open next Wednesday near W. Park Row Drive and S. Cooper Street in Arlington.

Meanwhile, Chick Fil A is planning on four more locations in the DFW area this year.

Don’t appreciate the “side of hate” dig on Chick Fil A…They’re entitled to back causes that align with their corporate values and philosophy.

And Crave DFW is entitled to their values and philosophy. Not to mention that they’re simply representing what a large portion of their subscribers think.

A friend who lives in Tallahassee told me about a Chick-fil-a competitor that opened there that’s really good. Apparently it’s coming to Frisco soon.

I’m sorry, I apologize for my rant. Too often every little detail is politicized, and it drives me nuts. Please accept my apologies. The internet is not conducive to self filtering.

  5. Chick-fil-a has been resting on their laurels anyway. They changed their bun and it falls apart before you get half way through with the sandwich.
