Oral Fixation Speaks This Monday, April 14

fixation1by Steven Doyle

This Monday, April 14 at 8pm in the brand-new venue on Level 6 of the Wyly Theatre, Oral Fixation will bring you seven juicy true-life tales on the theme, “Ducks in a Row.”  Join Oral Fixation for an evening of stories including a woman exposing the intricacies of life with OCD, a lesbian’s attempt to learn how to ride a bicycle at the advanced age of 22, and a new dad’s attempt to reconcile with his wild little brother.

Oral Fixation is all about the stories. They provide the topic, and people from all walks of life submit a written story that they will read in front of a live audience. The evening is fast paced, and always entertaining. Purchase tickets here.

Oral Fixation is currently seeking participants for the last show of Season 3, “The Whole Enchilada,” and also “Lost in Translation: An Evening of Stories About Immigration” which will be presented at the DMA as part of Arts & Letters Live on June 20th.  For all the info on submitting your story, visit their website.

Just got back from the show held at the Level 6 of the Wyly Theatre. Stories and tellers were great, but I will never go again as long as this is the location. Elevators for traffic, clogged, tightly spaces isles, poor view, lousy sound makes for a lousy show experience.
