Hungry? NOLA Food Truck Is Driving To Dallas

nolaby Steven Doyle

To celebrate National Tourism Week, the good people of New Orleans will be trucking it up to Dallas for a visit. The colorful and sought after “Follow Your NOLA” food truck will visit Austin, Dallas, and Houston after stopping first this weekend at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Those who visit will be treated to cooking demonstrations and food samples by Restaurant Borgne Chef Brian Landry (John Besh restaurant), authentic cultural experiences like a jazz trumpeter or a Mardi Gras Indian, gifts, giveaways, and a chance to win hotel and meals when you drive to New Orleans.

The truck’s 8-foot compass in the shape of NOLA’s fleur-de-lis symbol will greet guests in Dallas. They’ll be encouraged to spin it for prizes and giveaways that include food, cookbooks, passes to NOLA attractions, NOLA restaurant gift cards, cooking classes, and four very impressive travel packages. If the compass lands on Flavor and “cooking demonstration” is the prize, chef Landry will whip up an open-faced fried oyster and pork belly BLT.

The NOLA truck will be in Dallas Saturday, May 10th at 2323 N. Henderson Avenue from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You won’t want to miss this one.

~They won’t get much business. JazzFest wrapped up last weekend! I’ll look for it though when it arrives in Dallas.
