Have you wanted to go to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, without leaving afterwards and immediately searching the web for non-invasive Vasectomy options?  Here is your chance, and it is a great one!

PEROT MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE 1 MILLION VISITORS

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is hosting an exclusive after-hours engagement for adults 21 and over Friday August 22nd from 7pm until 11pm.  Think of this as a science conference with adult beverages with many guests in costume.  The Social Science series – Identity experience, offers an adult affair including cocktails, live performances, and an off-the-wall assortment of innovative experiments and demonstrations.  Current research on their data and social experiments will be discussed in an engaging manner, and many remarkable inventions will be on display too.  The Identity theme, allows guests to explore ego and alter ego by delving into the science of superheroes, genetics, psyche, and DNA.  Dressing as your favorite alter ego or super hero to fully embrace the theme or participate in the fashion challenge is quite popular but not required.  Le Cure, a tribute to The Cure will be performing this evening as part of the event as well.

Perot Dancing

Since forming in in 2008, Le Cure is considered by many to be the best tribute band to The Cure on the planet!  Mark Hernandez’ likeness and voice are as close to seeing Robert Smith perform live as you will ever see.  They have been nominated Best Tribute Band by the Dallas Observer Music Awards in 2010 and 2012.  Le Cure has performed at events like 100.3 Jack FM’s Throwback Festival at Gexa Energy Pavilion, and smaller venues including House of Blues, Lee Harvey’s, Goodfriend Beer & Burger Garden, Lizard Lounge, LaGrange, Gas Monkey Grill, and Taste of Dallas.

Drink tickets will be available for purchase, beer and wine are $6, and signature cocktails are $9.  Event tickets are $13 for members and $18 for non-members.  It is quite possible this event sells out, so purchasing tickets online is encouraged.  See website for ticket purchase and info.  The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is located at 2201 N Field Street in Dallas.   Two non-member tickets and two glasses of wine a piece will leave you on budget for your next destination, the restaurant terrace at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.

Mansion

“The Mansion” over the last few decades has consistently maintained a reputation of being one of the best fine dining experiences in Dallas, along with being one of the most romantic hotels too.  A popular location for proposing, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions, The Mansion will not disappoint.

The Mansion Bar is stylish and contemporary with leather adorned walls and a fusion of traditional and contemporary art.  The menu features modern and classic vintage cocktails as well as house originals such as the Mansion G&T.  Made with Ford’s Gin, house-made spring tonic, kaffir lime leaf, and grapefruit zest, you should order a round of G&T’s at the cost of $16 per beverage.  Enjoy your drinks on the terrace which is lit with lanterns, covered with oak trees, features fireside lounge seating, and a view of Turtle Creek.

Live entertainment is a weekly feature at the Mansion Bar.  On Friday, August 22nd the contemporary artists of Phil Pritchett Duo are scheduled to perform.  The Mansion Bar is open Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. to 2 a.m, and is located at 2821 Turtle Creek Blvd in Dallas.
