Rumors have been flying around town with news on where Dee Lincoln will plant her next restaurant, which seemingly could be everywhere. Today we get firm information which puts her latest in the Shops of Highland Park in the recently closed La Duni location. This is the same shopping center where TJ’s Seafood Market and Carbones are located, and directly across the street from Al Biernat. Read on for the juicy details. Notice that she has dropped the burger part of the name and is focusing in on what made her most famous – steaks.
Dee Lincoln, creator-founder of Dee Lincoln Steak Bar – a casual steakhouse with prime cuts and gourmet burgers – has secured a location at The Shops of Highland Park in Dallas for this growing concept. Located at 4264 Oak Lawn Avenue, the expected opening date is first quarter of 2015.
Lincoln says, “I am very excited to continue the growth of this brand. Rarely, would one see an opportunity for a great restaurant space to open up in a particular area like Highland Park and we felt this was an excellent fit.” Dee Lincoln Steak Bar is a casual but chic steakhouse that also happens to have a nice presence of gourmet burgers on the menu. Lincoln continues, “ The restaurant was designed with a lower price point than expected from a traditional steakhouse while still delivering the same high quality that I am known for in this industry. At this location, we plan to build a fantastic space including a patio from the inside out. In addition to a well-executed and carefully planned food menu, we have a commitment to offering a fantastic wine by the glass program – 12 labels in kegs, 16 labels in the cuvee system – all at perfect temperatures – as well as bubbly and specialty cocktails.”
The Shops at Highland Park restaurant will measure 4400 square feet and will have 160 seats (including bar and community table) and an indoor/outdoor patio using a NanaWall system.
The three locations of Dee Lincoln Steak Bar (Plano, Fort Worth and Oak Lawn) will have identical menus except for the chalkboard, which will be the “chef’s playground” at each restaurant for creative daily features including the fresh catch and butcher’s cut.
At the Uptown location, (Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar) expect more burgers, a selection of pizza and Sunday brunch service to be added in the coming weeks.
