Park Tavern Closed For Non-Payment Of Rent

SONY DSCby Steven Doyle

Park Tavern, one of the last of the Restaurant America restaurants in Dallas, closed yesterday from what we are told is non-payment of rent. Located at 8166 Park Lane in the Shops of Park Lane, the restaurant offered some unusual takes on typical bar fare, including the “animal tots” which was an early version of Dallas poutine. More recently Central Standard shuttered.

The same firm from Chicago also owned Mockingbird Taproom, Townhouse Kitchen & Bar, and Boca Chica.

Primebar still remains open and apparently doing very well.
