Fall has officially arrived and now it is time to start enjoying the great outdoors.  A unique opportunity presents itself this weekend at Klyde Warren Park when Veuve Clicquot Champagne House’s vintage mail truck will make two stops in Dallas.  This Saturday September 27th between 5pm and 8pm you have the chance to enjoy Veuve Clicquot’s Yellow Label Champagne for $15 per glass, or $75 per bottle if you want to throw the Date Night $100 challenge out the window. The event also features chances to play giant Jenga and Clicquot bottle toss.

Arrive at the beautiful restaurant in the park called Savor, put your name on the list for the patio, and then come outside and look for the large yellow mail truck with smiling faces sipping on champagne.  Order a glass of champagne each and enjoy the sights and sounds of Klyde Warren Park while you wait for your table at Savor.

Previously recommended in Date Night Dallas for their inexpensive quality desserts with a great view, now it’s time to spend a little more time at Savor and have dinner and a round of drinks.  Klyde Warren Park’s main restaurant is a modern gastro pub which provides a chef-driven menu with shared plates in order to combine beloved pub fare with an exceptionally vibrant combination of flavors with a modern twist.

When you sit on the patio, you will have a great view of the Dallas skyline, most recently voted by USA Today readers as the number 1 skyline in the world.  While here at Savor, sticking with the champagne theme, order two Savor Vacation’s featuring Milagro Tequila, Champagne, Lime, Curacao, and Simple Syrup for $10 each.  For dinner we suggest starting off by sharing the Wood-Oven Roasted Okra with Texas Peaches and Sorghum for $12, and then share the Grilled Pork Chop with Summer Squash Caponata, and Apricot Coulis for $26.

Enjoy your time here, take a walk when you are finished, maybe even sit in the park and people watch.  The weather will be ideal this Saturday, and the sun should be setting when you arrive for your evening.
