The Grape Celebrates 42nd Anniversary

Since 1972, The Grape Restaurant on Greenville Avenue has flourished as one of the city’s most beloved eateries as well as an East Dallas neighborhood staple. Chef/Owner Brian C. Luscher and wife Courtney celebrate and honor the anniversary on October 21-25 with four evenings of special events.

The Grape’s popular monthly “Wine and Cheese Chat” kicks off the festivities on Tuesday, Oct 21, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Courtney Luscher and Certified Cheese Professional Ali Morgan, the monthly cheese chat showcases 4 cheeses paired with 4 wines. Cost is $28 Person. Space is limited and guests who stay for dinner receive 20% off the food bill.  

An extra special Chef’s Come-As-You-Are wine dinner showcases “Old World Wines” on Thursday, Oct. 23. Chef de Cuisine Sarah Snow will feature a 4-course tasting menu to highlight the hand-selected wines for the evening. Guest host is Jason Charles with Glazers. Cost is $64 per person.

Wrapping up the week Friday and Saturday, Chef Snow features a special anniversary 3-course menu for $42 per person with an optional wine pairing upgrade. Courses are Oxtail Ravioli, celery root puree, roasted mirepoix, beurre rouge; Pork Milanese, onion risotto, cassava, watercress, lemon-caper buerre blanc and a Caramel Pot de crème, bourbon sabayon, charred fig, bacon candy.

The a la carte menu is also available nightly and reservations are recommended. Prices are exclusive of tax, gratuity and beverages. Located at 2808 Greenville Avenue, The Grape is open for dinner nightly at 5:30pm and Sunday Brunch. For reservations call 214-828-1981 or visit their website.
