Vijay Sadhu Appointed Chef At Cook Hall

Chef Vijay Sadhu has been named the new Chef of Cook Hall bringing to the table more than 20 years of experience cooking in some of the most esteemed restaurants around the world.  Chef Vijay Sadhu will implement updates and improvements to an already excellent menu.

Chef Vijay Sadhu began his culinary career in 1993 in Hyderabad, India at the ITC Grand Kakatiya Hotel & Tower where he learned the Royal Cuisine of India under Master Chefs Vikram Sihma and Irfan Qureshi. From there he moved to Sydney, Australia where he continued to hone his skills at the Sydney Tower and earn his Culinary & Business Management degree from the National Business College Sydney, Australia. 

In 2002, Chef Vijay Sadhu made the big move to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he took the helm of Saffron Bistro as chef and owner. Under his lead, the restaurant was featured as one of the Top Tables of 2005 in Bon Appetit and consistently won awards for being one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee. In 2006 he relocated to Texas where he served as Executive Chef for Bukhara Grille in Richardson.

In 2009 Chef Vijay Sadhu oversaw the kitchen as Executive Chef and worked with Chef Stephan Pyles at Samar by Stephan Pyles.

In 2010 he opened Sutra in Dallas, a modern Indian restaurant with Portuguese influence. The popular restaurant quickly gained notoriety. Shortly thereafter in 2012 he opened Pepper Smash, a cocktail kitchen at Shops of Legacy in Plano featuring modern American cuisine with global inspiration.
