Barman’s Halloween at Victor Tangos

On Monday, 10/31, Victor Tangos will join forces with Brian Floyd of The Barman’s Fund, as well as some of the city’s top bartenders, to raise a glass and money for charity.

The evening will feature drink specials, half-off all food for industry members (it is Monday, after all), and some of the city’s best barmen (and women) behind the bar. Dallas favorite, DJ Bryan C. (of Music is Our Weapon) will handle the soundtrack for the evening. And since no Halloween party is complete without costumes, prizes will be given for the “Best,” “Most Inappropriate” and “Most Outlandish” costumes.

All bartender tips as well as 100% of the bar’s proceeds will benefit Dallas CASA by way of The Barman’s Fund – an initiative started by Brian Floyd in 2011, while at The Vanderbilt in NYC. After deciding to donate an evening’s tips to help with the relief efforts in Japan, bartenders quickly caught on. The result was The Barman’s Fund. Today, the organization has nationwide support from fellow bartenders donating tips once a month. With chapters in New Orleans, New York and Austin, The Barman’s Fund has raised over $200,000 to support local charities in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Palm Beach, Charlotte, and Jackson, Mississippi.
