Business partners Jeffrey Yarbrough and Chad Boyle are pleased to announce the opening of The Cedars Backyard, Friday, November 4 in the dynamic Cedars neighborhood.

The concept is a first of its kind in Dallas, utilizing a shipping container as a fully operational bar. Guests have the option to enjoy one of the fifteen beers on tap, tap cocktails, or traditional well cocktails, all while hanging out and enjoying the best possible view of the Dallas skyline. The Cedars Backyard provides a kitschy trailer park vibe, but more Airstream than Winnebago.

We wanted to have an affordable place to hang out, drink beer, and socialize – all in a cool environment,” explains Chad Boyle, co-owner of The Cedars Backyard.

Joe Duncan’s Mod Pod Solutions manufactured the shipping container, now The Cedars Backyard, locally here in Texas. Duncan is also the owner of Bakers Ribs BBQ and The Original Fried Pie Shop.

I love bringing new ideas to the Dallas consumer,” says Jeffrey Yarbrough, co-owner of The Cedars Backyard, “Recycling a giant shipping container and making it a piece of art in the middle of downtown seemed like a natural fit for me.”

The Cedars Backyard, located at 1326 South Lamar will launch their Grand Opening on Friday, November 4, at 5:30pm with a beer toast, and live music will play until 7:30pm. Guests may enjoy “Day 1 $1 Drinks” all night to celebrate the new bar. Parking is free in the lot next door when a guest states that they are headed to the Backyard.
