Truck Yard is making spirits bright early this year as everyone’s favorite Lowest Greenville bar celebrates the season on December 10th. This means specialty hot cocktails, tacky sweaters, a toy drive and Dallas’ most popular miniature Santa.
Beginning at 2 p.m. and running through 11 p.m., there will be a toy drive benefitting Dallas Elf Society, so please swing by to help brighten a child’s Christmas. To entice you even more, the first 50 guests who bring in a new, unwrapped toy valued at least $10 will receive a FREE cheesesteak sandwich, making it the toy drive that keeps on giving.
At 7:30 p.m., Dallas’ own Eddie Zanetti “The Dwarfguy” will present some special holiday entertainment. Along with a very jolly dwarf Santa, who can’t wait to sit on your lap and take a perfect holiday selfie, he will also have a few Christmas surprises of his own.
Truck Yard is also hosting a tacky sweater contest from 9-11 p.m. on the outdoor stage, will be decorated in true Truck Yard style. To take part, all you’ve got to do is buy, borrow, steal (no, don’t steal) or rummage through your closet for that heinous red sweater you got from Aunt Edna. Then wear it proudly, because the winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to Truck Yard, which will buy a lot of drinks.
Speaking of drinks, Truck Yard will be serving its winter cocktail menu featuring a “spike your own” hot chocolate and a hot toddy with Truck Yard’s custom-barrel Herman Marshall whiskey. So come one, come all and join in the festivities.
The Truck Yard is located at 5624 Sears St just off the Lowest Greenville strip.
