Each week we beg the question, “What’s Eating Your Phone”? This is where we all can join in on the foodie fun by sending in your latest dining photo that has you all jazzed. These are not necessarily limited to dining out, it can be from that last dinner party. And don’t think we discriminate against libations. Send in your favorite cocktail photo, too.
To be included in a future edition of What’s Eating Your Phone, send those photos to me at steven@cravedfw.com. A brief description and location would be super helpful. Here are this week’s selections:
Tina Brooks sent us this photo of her Chery Soda Pie from Offsite Kitchen. We have a fondness for this restaurant and named them our favorite burger joint burger over the past several years. This little pie is also so good to down after a happy meal of burger and fries.
Thom Bensen sent us a photo from his phone that made us hungry for a good brunch. He was at Woolworth located in downtown Dallas that serves up this beautiful prime rib focaccia Benedict.
A much overlooked local restaurant that has locations scattered across Dallas (and more coming) is Flying Fish. This is a good time to check out the place as they do a fine crawfish boil. They also have these fish tacos according to reader Jenny Marcus.
How do we love thee matzo ball soup, and the version from Deli News makes our tail spin. Thank you for sending us your phone pic of the soup, Terry.
Ken T tells us that the bowls of soup are massive at First Chinese BBQ, and he tells us the Richardson location is the best. We couldn’t agree more and love the hot and sour soup there as well as the wonton soup. Perfect for a cool Dallas night.
Anke Eckardt was at a recent John Tesar Spoon pop-up where the chef served this uni carbonara. Sad we missed this with you but thank you for sharing!
Steve – you need to put together another Dallas bus tour!’
