For small local restaurants, reaching major milestones such as ten years in business is unusual.  Fishmonger and owner of Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill Rick Oruch feels especially gratified as his seafood restaurant celebrates ten years with two weeks of special offers and an in-house party on Monday, April 17.

“When we opened 10 years ago, there really wasn’t any place in North Texas doing what we were doing,” explains Oruch.  “Having both a fish market and a relaxed fine dining restaurant in the same locale was common on the coasts, but you just didn’t see it here in Dallas.  Our family is so gratified that fans and foodies have continued to enjoy Sea Breeze throughout the years.”

In celebration of ten years, Sea Breeze, the restaurant will offer a variety of $10 small plate specials April 1-15, including:

  • Seared Sea Scallop with Raspberry Gastrique
  • Peel & Eat Shrimp
  • Sea Breeze Combo
  • Fried Calamari

Additionally, the restaurant will feature a collection of specially priced $10 wines and sparklers at discounted prices.

On Monday, April 17, which is the actual anniversary of the opening of Sea Breeze, the restaurant will share a celebratory slice of cake and complementary bubbly for each guest.

When the restaurant opened, April 17, 2007, it offered a full-service fish market, but counter-service dining with beer and wine only.  Then, in 2011, the restaurant expanded, remodeled, and added not only full service dining but a full bar as well.  Sea Breeze features a full fish market showcasing a wide variety of fresh and wild seafood from across  the planet, as well as a Chef at Home case featuring prepared foods.
