Dog Haus, the celebrated craft casual concept known for its gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers and one-of-a-kind creations, will open its next franchise location in Richardson on July 22. Located at 744 S. Central, in the Richardson Restaurant Park, this will be franchisee Ron Ryan’s first location with the brand, which was founded in 2010 by partners Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz, and André Vener to recapture the nostalgic childhood experience of eating a hot dog. To commemorate its arrival in the Richardson area, Ryan will invite locals to swing by for a free Haus Dog on Opening Day.

“I can’t tell you what a special day this is for the entire Dog Haus family, to finally introduce the people of Richardson – and all across North Texas – to our all-beef Haus Dogs, handcrafted proprietary Haus Sausages and Black Angus beef burgers,” said Ryan. “We’ve assembled an awesome team and, in addition to the great food, we have a gorgeous Biergarten featuring a wide array of American craft beer from some of the top local, regional and national brewers. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the community to our beautiful new restaurant.”

As part of its introduction to the community and its surroundings, guests can stop by from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on opening day to enjoy a free Haus Dog from a selection of Dog Haus’ seven signature hot dog creations featuring signature all beef dogs served up on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls. Options include fan favorites like Sooo Cali, with wild arugula, tomato, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli and avocado; Downtown Dog, featuring a smoked bacon wrapped dog topped with caramelized onions, pickled peppers, mayo, mustard and ketchup; and Cowboy, with cheddar cheese sauce, smoked bacon, bbq sauce and crispy onions.

To add to the excitement, Dog Haus will donate 10% of all opening day sales to Heroes for Children, an organization that advocates for and provides financial and social assistance to families with children battling cancer.

Dog Haus’ full menu includes gourmet dogs, sausages, burgers, corn dogs, sides, beer and shakes. Sausage favorites include The Fonz, which partners a spicy Italian sausage with pastrami and cheddar cheese sauce; and Das Brat, which features a bratwurst with caramelized onions, sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard. Haus Burgers run the gamut featuring 100% genetically tested, humanely raised Black Angus beef using no hormones and no antibiotics – never ever in one-of-a-kind creations like The Freiburger, with white American cheese, fried egg, haus slaw, fries and mayo and Holy Aioli, with white American cheese, caramelized onions, smoked bacon and garlic aioli.

Lighter eaters and kids can indulge in smaller-sized portions – the dog slider is made with an all beef mini dog, haus made cheese sauce, and bacon; the burger slider has just the right amount of caramelized onions, white American cheese, and mayo; and the corn dog slider features an all beef mini dog dipped in haus made root beer batter. Equal attention is paid to the quality-driven sides, like chili cheese tots or fries with haus made cheese sauce, cheddar, haus chili, and green onions; and beer-battered onion ringsSave room for dessert and finish off the meal with a Fosselman’s premium ice cream milkshake or soft serve.

The fast-casual concept, designed to elevate the hot dog and burger-eating experience, serves up its quality meals within the contemporary aesthetic of a modern industrial space. After ordering at the counter, diners can grab a barstool at the communal tables, take a bench seat at one of the reclaimed wood and steel tables or step outside to the welcoming patio.

The new restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
