Lowest Greenville Collective will host “Lowest G Cools Down the Big D” on Saturday, July 29 from noon – 8pm. The block party/fundraiser, from Belmont Avenue to Ross Avenue, will be held to raise money and/or donations of fans, window units and portable air conditioning units to help low income disabled and senior citizens in Dallas at-large.
In a partnership with the City of Dallas Office of Senior Affairs and the Dallas County Adult Protective Services, they will be providing volunteers to inform the public about senior needs in Dallas and transport the fans to the Silver Star Room, Dallas Fire/Emergency Department, Dallas Police Department, and other agencies that help senior citizens in need.
Guests are asked to check-in at the table located at Blind Butcher (1919 Greenville Avenue) anytime during the day. Wristband(s) will be given to people who donate a fan, AC unit or $20+. Those who donate will have the opportunity to enjoy specials from 24 businesses that are members of the Lowest Greenville Collective as well as an after party at Truck Yard from 8pm – 9pm. The after party attendees will enjoy specials on Shiner Bock beer and access to free live music. $1 from every Shiner Bock purchased will also go to the cause.
