Time To Make Plans to Attend the Ultimate Cocktail Experience (Contest!)

cocktail

After five successful years of fundraising and cocktail shaking, the Ultimate Cocktail Experience returns. Once again, the charitable pop-up event is bringing together bartenders, brands, distributors and consumers to benefit Trigger’s Toys. The organization is dedicated to reducing the financial and emotional stress placed on chronically ill children and their families by providing financial assistance and supplemental therapy to those in need.

Last year’s event raised more than $200,000 for the cause, and this year will aim to exceed that goal.

Started by Bryan Townsend of The 86 Co., the Ultimate Cocktail Experience is an annual showcase featuring the best bartenders from across the country, as they provide attendees with delicious craft cocktails in a gorgeous setting–Dallas’s Klyde Warren Park. This year’s event will include six unique bar concepts, each representing a different part of the world, and each tasked with producing a menu of innovative drinks–including one classic cocktail and one non-alcoholic option. And to accompany those drinks, food trucks will be on site serving a variety of dishes.

Bars, captains and featured classic cocktails have been selected and are as follows:

Mexico City: Brad Hensarling & Megan McClinton, The Usual (Margarita)

London: Omar Yeefoon, Shoals (Gin and Tonic)

New Orleans: Keisha Cooper, Shoals (Sazerac)

Hong Kong: Robbie Call, Filament (Rob Roy)

Casablanca: Andrew Stofko, Hot Joy (Mule)

Havana: Ravinder Singh, Rapscallion (Daiquiri)

Joining the local barkeeps will be other talented bartenders from around the country, and the world, including: Ash Hauserman of Blacktail in NY, which recently won Best New American Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, and Iain Griffiths from London’s Dandelyan, which was named Best International Hotel Bar and Best Cocktail Bar in the World. Joining these two will be Ezra Star from award-winning Drink (Boston) and Mitch Bushell, LA bartender formerly of Melbourne’s internationally renowned Black Pearl.

“Through the Ultimate Cocktail Experience, we’re proud to offer our community a unique way to experience the talents of our service industry while giving back to an organization that is near and dear to our hearts,” said founder Bryan Townsend. “We’re so thankful to the bar and restaurant industry, as well as the brands, donors and friends who will gather together to enjoy great drinks, but most importantly, to support a cause that gives back to hospitalized children and their families.”
