Fort Worth Oni Ramen known for their signature items such as the miso, tonkotsu, Kyushu & Oni Reaper opened quietly this past week in Deep Ellum.  Partner and chef Jesus Garcia will be working exclusively with the pork base and eliminate the chicken broth, and the restaurant still offers vegetarian and pescatarian options.

“The new location is located at 2822 Elm St, in front of Cafe Brazil. The unit is my ideal size, under 1500sq ft and will seat about 50 people. We  have an open kitchen and serve beer, sake and wine since most of the bars around us will focus liquor and cocktails,” said Garcia recently.

Look for late night eats at Oni Ramen which will stay open until 4am on Friday & Saturday. They also promise to stay up to date with shows in the neighborhood and try and stay open late on those nights to give people a place to eat.

Prices are much lower than the Fort Worth location and Garcia has eliminated tipping. Good news for those wandering the streets in search of good eats on the cheap.
